The maps on this page show where rare bird discoveries were made near my hometown and in the rest of the Netherlands since 1 January 2023. Only those (sub)species, that are currently considered by the CDNA, are included. Besides accepted records, also some reports still to be evaluated by the CDNA, are shown. When records have more than one location, only the first is being used.

The maps below show the records per season.


Did you know that roughly 33% of all discoveries were made in the first four hours of daylight, or that 8% involved birds at migration watchpoints, 1% at ringing sites and 2% birds found dead?
